JsonShopForms

A resource pack for Geyser designed to add a better inventory system for EconomyShopGUI for bedrock players, done by creating custom forms.

The vanilla forms from the Cumulus API are great for devices with smaller screens or even toutch screens which have no way of hovering over a item to see its tooltip, but they have some heavy limitations as they use a list view of items/buttons and ruin the look of the shop menus as the Geyser team did not design them for this.

To solve this, EconomyShopGUI has support for custom JSON forms which are designed to look like a regular chest with a grid layout of items.

These forms have several advantages over vanilla forms or even the regular Geyser translated GUI's such as:

1. Support for every inventory size (Unlike regular Geyser inventory's only support a half/full sized inventory)
2. Inventory's do not get scrambled on smaller devices
3. Easy support for custom GUI textures (Just like ItemsAdder/Nexo font glyphs in titles)
4. Easy support for custom item textures
5. Items support stack sizes and durability bars, unlike regular forms which use plain item images as the icon
6. A grid style instead instead of the list view of regular forms
7. Support for 3D styled block icons by using a custom icon renderer (Just like actual chest inventory's)
8. Small detail, but not to miss: No floating chest above the player when the shop is open

Based on what version you purchased/downloaded, you have two options:

Installing the base version:

1. Start by installing GeyserMC and Floodgate on your server if not already installed

a. If using a server network using a proxy server, installing GeyserMC only on the proxy server(velocity/bungeecord) is enough, and floodgate on your backend server(s)

2. Drag and drop the 'JsonShopForms - Base - v1.0.0.zip' or .mcpack file inside the /packs folder of the Geyser-Spigot or Geyser-Velocity plugin folder (Folder name depends on the server type you are using)

3. In EconomyShopGUI's config.yml, enable the config option 'use-grid-forms' under the config bedrock-forms config section

4. Last step, simply restart your server so Geyser can reload the pack and you should see the custom forms when browsing /shop on bedrock clients!

Installing the version with example textures:

1. Start by installing GeyserMC and Floodgate on your server if not already installed

2. Open the /examples subfolder within this zip and drag and drop the 'JsonShopForms - Example - v1.0.0.zip' or .mcpack file inside the /packs folder of the Geyser-Spigot or Geyser-Velocity plugin folder (Folder name depends on the server type you are using)

3. From the /examples subfolder within this zip, also take out the config.yml, /shops and /sections folders within the EconomyShopGUI folder and replace them with your files

a. Note that you should delete your files and then copy over the examples after you've made a backup or are sure you don't need them!

As copying the folders over might not override all files, and you will be left with old configs

4. In EconomyShopGUI's config.yml, enable the config option 'use-json-forms' under the config bedrock-forms config section

5. Last step, simply restart your server so Geyser can reload the pack and ESGUI can reload its shops correctly and you should see the custom forms when browsing /shop on bedrock clients!
